The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The beloved characters from the original “X-Men” film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from “X-Men: First Class,” in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.

The sequel has easily one of the best casts of 2014, led by James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, and Halle Berry.

Singer is returning to helm his third film in the franchise, having directed the original X-Men and its first sequel, and he’s directing from a script penned by Simon Kinberg.

X-Men: Days of Future Past will hit cinemas on 22nd May, 2014 in the UK, with its US release date set for a day later on May 23rd. For now, here’s the first sneak peek footage from the film, and be sure to come back on Tuesday to see the first trailer in full.
