Tom Cruise is well known for performing his own death defying stunts, but if you thought him scaling the side of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai for Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol was intense, check this out.

For Christopher McQuarrie’s Mission: Impossible 5 (which is currently shooting in the UK), Cruise strapped himself to the side of an Airbus A400M military plane. Not on the ground, mind you…5000 feet in the air!

There have been claims that the plane was flying at speeds of over 250mph, but regardless of its speed, this takes a lot of guts and should prove to be a standout moment in Mission: Impossible 5. A full gallery of images can be found at the link below, but here is a video of Cruise shooting the amazing sequence.

Mission: Impossible 5 also stars Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Alec Baldwin, Ving Rhames, and Sean Harris and should finish off a busy 2015 when it’s released on December 25th (just one week after Star Wars Episode VII).
