If you were stuck on a mountain after a plane crash, who in the world would like to be stuck with? Well, Kate Winslet and Idris Elba, like or not, are stuck with each other in the first trailer for the upcoming The Mountain Between Us.

The Idol director Hany Abu-Assad looks set to deliver an intense survival movie after the trailer has Kate Winslet in the role of a journalist on her way to her wedding and Idris Elba as a doctor trying to change his flight to in order to perform an important operation. After a chance meeting, they charter a plane but this is where fate intervenes and the plane crashes in the snowy mountains where both have to find it within themselves to survive as they make their way through the tough icy terrain.
Joining Elba and Winslet with her American accent on the cast is Dermot Mulroney and Beau Bridges in a tale of strength in the face of adversity which could possible spill over into a love story as the two begin to bond on their perilous journey.

The film is directed by Academy Award nominee Hany Abu-Assad and stars Academy Award winner Kate Winslet and Idris Elba.
