Ansel-Elgort-and-Shailene-Woodley-in-The-Fault-in-Our-StarsRecent weeks have brought with them a first look at The Fault in Our Stars with a slightly devastating first poster and a first-look image of leading duo Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort sharing a moment in Anne Frank’s house.

With the film’s summer release very much on the horizon, Fox has released a handful of new images of Woodley and Elgort from the film, along with a hi-res look at the first image we saw earlier in the month.

Courtesy of Amazon, here’s the synopsis for the original novel upon which the film is based.

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.

Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars is award-winning author John Green’s most ambitious and heartbreaking work yet, brilliantly exploring the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.

Willem Dafoe, Laura Dern, Nat Wolff, Lotte Verbeek, Sam Trammell, Emily Peachey, and Mike Birbiglia complete the cast nicely alongside the leading pair.

Josh Boone (Stuck in Love) makes his sophomore feature at the helm, directing from a script penned by co-writers Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber (The Spectacular Now, (500) Days of Summer), adapting John Green’s best-selling novel of the same name.

The Fault in Our Stars will be released on June 6th in the US, with its UK release date following on 20th June. For now, here are the latest images from the drama, which you can click through to enlarge.

Since graduating, I spend as much time as possible watching films/TV shows, reading books, and listening to music. So getting to write about what I love is nothing short of awesome. Biggest film-related hope for 2014/ever: Guy Ritchie announcing the RocknRolla sequel is finally moving forward.
