In a short space of time Rooney Mara has taken on some iconic roles, not least as the razor-sharp Lisbeth Salander in David Fincher’s English language adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. She next appears in Todd Haynes’ latest film Carol, and has been rightly praised for the depth she brings to a complex role.

In this new interview Rooney Mara sits down with James Kleinmann to talk about her prominent role as Therese Belivet, the object of Carol’s affections.
