One-Chance-PosterMaking its world premiere out in Toronto next month, David Frankel’s One Chance will immortalise the life of British tenor Paul Potts on the big screen, following his win in the first season of Britain’s Got Talent.

James Corden is front and centre as Potts himself. And now The Weinstein Company have launched the first poster, via Yahoo Movies, ahead of the film’s TIFF bow.

From the director of The Devil Wears Prada, ONE CHANCE is the remarkable and inspirational true story of Paul Potts, a shy, bullied shop assistant by day and an amateur opera singer by night. Paul became an instant YouTube phenomenon after being chosen by Simon Cowell for ‘Britain’s Got Talent.’ Wowing audiences worldwide with his phenomenal voice, Paul went on to win ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and the hearts of millions.

Corden is joined by Julie Walters, Alexandra Roach, Mackenzie Crook, and Colm Meaney.

The Oscar-winning Frankel (The Devil Wears Prada, Marley & Me) is directing from a script penned by Justin Zackham (The Bucket List). And producing are Kris Thykier (Kick-Ass), Bob and Harvey Weinstein (Django Unchained), and Simon Cowell (One Direction: This Is Us).

One Chance is due to be released in the UK and Ireland on 25th October. No word yet on a US release date. And given how busy TWC are in the coming months, with a slew of Oscar heavyweights on their hands, it should be interesting to see where they position One Chance on their calendar.
