We’re too old for this……. It sounds like Fox have decided to reboot the popular buddy cop movie bringing it back to the small screen.

According to THR, Fox will make a pilot TV episode which will see Martin Riggs (an ex-Navy SEAL) and LAPD detective Roger Murtaugh take to the LA streets once again ridding the city of organised crime. The roles were originally played by Mel Gibson and Danny Glover and spawned three sequels.

THR also report that the original producers of the movie version of the franchise will not be involved in this reboot but have given their blessing. The movies were released in 1987, 1989, 1992 and 1998 and it’s nice to see it will be coming back in some form – although we’d rather see it back on the big screen.

Lethal Weapon has become the latest movie to get a fresh TV lick of pain joining the likes of Minority Report, Uncle Buck, Training Day and Rush Hour.
