Despite being hard at work writing a trilogy of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them movies for Warner Bros., J.K. Rowling has somehow found the time to pen a new short story focusing on Dolores Umbridge.

This new story from the world of Harry Potter will be released online on October 31st, debuting via the author’s pottermore.com official website. There obviously aren’t a lot of specific details, but we do know that the focus will be on Dolores Umbridge. Imelda Staunton played the character on the big screen.

The 1700 word story will explore her background, and as the press release points out: “Umbridge is not only one of the most malicious Potter characters—she is the only person other than Lord Voldemort to leave a permanent physical scar on Harry.” When we last saw her, she had been sentenced to life in Azkaban.

This isn’t the first piece of new Harry Potter material released this year as Rowling has also published a fake news story about the Quidditch World Cup that gave an update on Harry, Ron, and Hermione from the perspective of the notorious Rita Skeeter. They’re not exactly a new book, but have been embraced by fans!
