Iron-Man-3-PosterShane Black’s Iron Man 3 is finally making its official US premiere out in Hollywood tonight, with the stars of the film set to walk the red carpet in just a few minutes’ time.

The blockbuster finally hits UK theatres today, and with its US release date set for next Friday, the anticipation is definitely palpable on both sides of the Atlantic, and elsewhere across the globe.

We’ve seen nothing but good things from the movie so far. And with the first trailer for Thor: The Dark World hitting this week, Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is promising to get off to an awesome start.

The early reviews for Iron Man 3 have been very positive – you can read our review here – and with the film now making its US premiere, along with its wide UK release later today, we’re sure to see a flood of more supportive reviews come in in the next few days.

Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Robert Downey, Jr. reprises his role once more as Tony Stark / Iron Man. And starring alongside him is a brilliant cast, led by Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Ben Kingsley, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale, Jon Favreau, Wang Xueqi, and Fan Bingbing, with Paul Bettany reprising his role as the voice of JARVIS.

Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) is directing from a script he co-wrote with Drew Pearce.

Iron Man 3 will be released in 3D and IMAX 3D today, 25th April, here in the UK, with its US release date set for next Friday, May 3rd. For now, here’s the live stream for the US premiere, as the stars of the film take to the red carpet out in Hollywood.
