Starring Brad Pitt in the lead, World War Z is almost guaranteed to be one of the biggest films of 2013. We caught an amazing sneak peek at the trailer earlier today, with the full trailer arriving on Thursday, and it looked rather incredible.
With the trailer set to kick off what promises to be an excellent marketing campaign in the next few months, the film’s official website has launched, and with it comes the first teaser poster for the film. Sleek, black, and grey, it doesn’t give anything away, but it’s nice to have something official to put to the name, and see the logo.
“The story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself. Enos plays Gerry’s wife Karen Lane; Kertesz is his comrade in arms, Segen.”
Starring alongside Pitt will be Mireille Enos, James Badge Dale, Lucy Aharish, Matthew Fox, Bryan Cranston, and David Morse, making for a strong cast.
Marc Forster (Stranger than Fiction, Machine Gun Preacher) is at the helm, directing from a script by Matthew Michael Carnahan (The Kingdom), with Drew Goddard (Cloverfield) hired to pen the re-writes for the extended re-shoots.
World War Z will be hitting the UK and US on 21st June, 2013. Get ready, because it looks like this is going to be something special. Be sure to check back on Thursday when the trailer lands. And for now, here’s the first teaser poster, which you can click through to enlarge.
