After arriving in US cinemas over the weekend, the Jason Statham-led action-thriller Homefront will be touching down on our shores this Friday, returning Statham to our screens for an impressive fourth* time this year.

With the film heading into our cinemas in just a few days’ time, Lionsgate have treated us to exclusively share this new clip with you. And when you take Kate Bosworth’s language into consideration, you can see why it’s not quite suitable for work.

HOMEFRONT stars Jason Statham as former drug enforcement agent, Phil Broker, a family man who moves off the grid with his daughter, to a seemingly quiet bayou backwater to escape his troubled past. However, Broker’s world soon becomes anything but quiet once he discovers that an underbelly of drugs and violence riddles the small town. Soon, a sociopathic methamphetamine kingpin, Gator Bodine (James Franco) puts Broker and his daughter in harm’s way forcing Broker back into action in order to save his family and the town.

James Franco stars opposite Statham as the antagonist, Gator, with Kate Bosworth heading up the ensemble cast nicely alongside Winona Ryder, Rachelle Lefevre, Frank Grillo, Marcus Hester, and Clancy Brown, introducing Izabela Vidovic as Statham’s on-screen daughter.

Gary Fleder (Runaway Jury, Kiss the Girls) is directing from Stallone’s script, with the latter basing the film on Chuck Logan’s best-selling series of novels around Phil Broker.

Homefront is now playing in the US, and will be released in UK cinemas this Friday, 6th December. In the meantime, here’s the latest clip ahead of Statham’s return. Enjoy.

*Without risking any spoilers, I’ll just say that the second of these appearances was brief, but very memorable.
