Here in the UK, the countdown to the release of Skyfall stands at just 38 days, and we couldn’t be more excited. Daniel Craig returns once more as James Bond, and after catching a new character poster for Craig last week, announcing the commencement of ticket sales for the film, a new UK poster for the film has just been released.
Starring alongside Craig in the lead will be Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Bérénice Marlohe, Naomie Harris, Albert Finney, Ben Whishaw, Helen McCrory, Ola Rapace, and Dame Judi Dench, completing the cast nicely.
“In SKYFALL, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.”
Sam Mendes (American Beauty) will be making his Bond debut behind the camera, directing from a script by Bond frequents Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, and one of my favourite writers, John Logan (Gladiator, Coriolanus).
Skyfall will be released in regular and IMAX theatres on 26th October here in the UK, followed by a 9th November release in the US. The first full-length trailers released back in July were immense, and an excellent indication of what we have in store for us next month. Tickets for the UK release are now on sale, so if you want to catch the film as soon as humanly possible, be sure to pre-book your tickets the first chance you get.
