In among the heartwarming yuletide cinematic offerings there are bound to be a few lumps of coal, and none (not even Scrooge himself) are less festive than Billy Bob Thornton’s Bad Santa.

Thirteen years after the first film Thornton returns as the criminally-minded Father Christmas, this time looking to pilfer funds from a charity, along with his mother (played by Kathy Bates). Mark Waters takes over from Terry Zwigoff in the director’s chair.

Christina Hendricks and Brett Kelly join in for the festivities, and from the look of the first trailer things aren’t looking too merry for Thorton and Co.

The film is out in November, perfect for those Anti-Claus types.
