EW spoke to Zach Galifianakis earlier today about the upcoming sequel to 2009’s hit comedy The Hangover. The follow-up, which feels like it has been in pre-production for ever, will move the action from Las Vegas to an as-yet undetermined locale.

While the filmmakers decide on a setting (“It keeps changing, actually,” the actor reports), Zach Galifianakis – who is currently doing the rounds for his latest film It’s Kind of a Funny Story – was more than happy to offer up his dream location for the sequel:

I think Russia would be amazing. The first Hangover worked because it was Vegas, but it was the dirty side of Vegas, not the glitzy one. You’ve got to put the characters against danger. So they could get involved in organized crime in Moscow, which I think is incredibly scary.

It will be interesting to see where Phil, Stu, Doug and Alan end up for this second morning after the night before, Galifianakis was able to reveal:

Where it is going to take place is beautiful. They probably will show the dirty part of the beauty. I think that’s the goal.

Galifianakis’ co-stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Heather Graham and Justin Bartha are all signed on to return, with Todd Phillips again set to direct.
