To mark the release of S2 of Apple TV+’s comedy-drama Your Friends and Neighbours, we had the pleasure in speaking to two of its leading stars in Jon Hamm and Amanda Peet, as well as the brains behind the operation Jonathan Tropper.

Hamm discusses his role as Coop, and the character’s evolution from cautious newcomer to confident “old hand” & how this opens up new dramatic and comedic possibilities. He also discusses the brilliant new addition of James Marsden’s Owen Ashe, who comes into this world like a storm.

Peet reflects on the show’s refreshing approach to supporting characters, and how the show cleverly avoids clichés, instead delivering a nuanced and grounded perspective. While finally Tropper shares how the show balances humour and darkness, exploring absurdist, emotional, and farcical moments, which he promises S2 to deliver. You can watch all three interviews in their entirety below.
