Amazon Prime Video has unveiled the teaser trailer for ‘Young Sherlock,’ a stylish new series from filmmaker Guy Ritchie that rewinds the clock on the world’s most famous detective. Starring Hero Fiennes Tiffin as a 19-year-old Sherlock Holmes, the series offers a raw, restless take on the legend before the pipe, the deerstalker, and Baker Street carved his name into history.

Inspired by Andy Lane’s novels, ‘Young Sherlock’ reimagines Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s creation in 1870s Oxford, where Holmes is disgraced, impulsive, and dangerously unpolished. Caught in the crosshairs of a murder investigation at Oxford University, his freedom hangs by a thread. With little discipline and even less regard for convention, Holmes plunges into his first-ever case, peeling back clues that point toward a sprawling, globe-trotting conspiracy destined to shape the man he will become.

The series boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Dónal Finn as James Moriarty, Zine Tseng as Princess Gulun Shou’an, Joseph Fiennes as Silas Holmes, Natascha McElhone as Cordelia Holmes, Max Irons as Mycroft Holmes, and Colin Firth as Sir Bucephalus Hodge. Together, they populate a world where intellect clashes with ambition and danger lurks in lecture halls as much as darkened alleys.

Matthew Parkhill serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer, alongside Guy Ritchie and a team that includes Dhana Gilbert, Marc Resteghini, Simon Maxwell, Ivan Atkinson, Simon Kelton, and Colin Wilson. Ritchie, who previously directed the Robert Downey Jr.-led Sherlock Holmes films, also takes the director’s chair on the series, bringing his signature energy to this origin story.
