Universal Pictures has unveiled the sun-drenched first trailer for ‘You, Me & Tuscany’, a romantic comedy that swaps quarter-life chaos for cobblestone charm, simmering secrets and the kind of accidental love story that blooms between espresso sips and golden-hour skies.
Halle Bailey (The Little Mermaid, The Color Purple) stars as Anna, a young woman whose culinary dreams have cooled into a string of questionable decisions and drifting days. When she suddenly loses both her house-sitting job and her place to live, fate arrives in the form of Matteo, a charming Italian with an empty Tuscan villa and no idea Anna is about to borrow it.
Ignoring the sensible warnings of her blunt but loyal best friend Claire (Aziza Scott, Home Before Dark), Anna boards a plane for Italy, hoping one reckless night might reset her life. Instead, everything unravels when Matteo’s formidable mother Gabriella (Italian screen legend Isabella Ferrari) unexpectedly appears at the villa. Cornered and desperate, Anna blurts out a lie that changes everything: she claims to be Matteo’s fiancée.
What begins as a harmless fib spirals into emotional territory when Matteo’s cousin Michael arrives—played by Regé-Jean Page (Bridgerton, Black Bag). The chemistry between Anna and Michael crackles with the promise of something real, threatening to expose the truth and rewrite Anna’s future in ways she never imagined.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Kat Coiro (Marry Me, Matlock), the international ensemble also features Lorenzo de Moor (The Legend Hunters) as Matteo, Marco Calvani (The Four Seasons) as a warm-hearted taxi driver who becomes Anna’s confidant, and Academy Award nominee Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding) as Anna’s former employer, Mrs. Dunn.
