A darkness swirls at the centre of a world-renowned dance company, one that will engulf the troupe’s artistic director, an ambitious young dancer, and a grieving psychotherapist. Some will succumb to the nightmare. Others will finally wake up.
Visionary filmmaker Luca Guadagnino (A Bigger Splash, Call Me By Your Name) gleefully assembles a gifted troupe of collaborators with standout performances from Dakota Johnson and Tilda Swinton, an immersive soundtrack from Thom Yorke, breathless dance set pieces from choreographer Damien Jalet and startling visuals from regular DOP Sayombhu Mukdeeprom.
