To mark the release of Midnight Special on 8th August, we’ve been given a midnight special poster signed by director Jeff Nichols and DVD to give away, with a DVD copy available for 2 runners up.
After rescuing his son, Alton (Jaeden Lieberher) from a fundamentalist religious sect who are convinced his powerful supernatural abilities are the key to their salvation, Roy (Michael Shannon), Alton and their bodyguard Lucas (Joel Edgerton) are on the run for their lives.
What starts as a desperate escape from a fearsome cult across Texas, Alton’s abilities soon attract the attention of the FBI who believe the boy to be a threat to mankind’s very existence. Working closely with the cult, the FBI are equally insistent on getting to the bottom of this mystery with Paul Sevier (Paul Sparks) of the National Security Agency leading the Federal pursuit.
