Sydney Sweeney (Anyone But You, Euphoria, The White Lotus) stars as Cecilia, an American nun of devout faith, embarking on a new journey in a remote convent in the picturesque Italian countryside. Cecilia’s warm welcome quickly devolves into a nightmare as it becomes clear her new home harbours a sinister secret and unspeakable horrors.
Immaculate is directed by Michael Mohan (The Voyeurs). Andrew Lobel writes immaculate. Sweeney stars in the film alongside Simona Tabasco (The White Lotus), Alvaro Morte (Money Heist), Benedetta Porcaroli (Baby), and Dora Romano (The Hand of God).
Sydney Sweeney developed the project alongside Middle Child Pictures’ David Bernad. In addition to Sweeney and Bernad, producers included Jonathan Davino for Sweeney’s Fifty-Fifty Films, plus Teddy Schwarzman and Michael Heimler for Black Bear. Black Bear’s John Friedberg, Christopher Casanova, and Will Greenfield are executive producers.
