Black Bear UK has unveiled the first teaser trailer for ‘Wildwood,’ the highly anticipated new stop-motion fantasy from acclaimed animation studio LAIKA. The film marks the latest visually rich adventure from the studio behind ‘Coraline’ and ‘ParaNorman.’
Directed by Travis Knight and written by Chris Butler, ‘Wildwood’ adapts the beloved fantasy novel by Colin Meloy, featuring illustrations by Carson Ellis.
At the heart of the story is Prue McKeel, a determined teenager whose life is shattered when her baby brother is abducted by a murder of crows. Venturing into the forbidden Impassable Wilderness, Prue embarks on a perilous rescue mission alongside her awkward but loyal classmate Curtis Mehlberg. Together, they encounter talking animals, wandering bandits, and powerful figures caught in a growing struggle that threatens the fragile balance of Wildwood.
As the stakes rise, Prue must uncover the courage and conviction she never knew she possessed if she hopes to save her brother and protect the enchanted forest from collapse.
