Apple TV has unveiled the official trailer for the highly anticipated second season of the celebrated German-language dark comedy series ‘Where’s Wanda?,’ with the Klatts once again finding themselves at the centre of a very unexpected criminal investigation.
Produced by UFA Fiction, the eight-episode second season sees Heike Makatsch and Axel Stein return as Dedo and Carlotta Klatt, alongside Lea Drinda as their daughter Wanda, Leo Simon and Nikeata Thompson.
In Season 2, the Klatts have finally started to believe that their lives might be returning to something resembling normality. That hope quickly evaporates when Wanda is seemingly caught red-handed standing over a dead body.
Determined to prove their daughter’s innocence, Dedo and Carlotta launch their own investigation to uncover who really committed the murder. Their search takes them deep into the criminal underbelly of their supposedly sleepy suburban town, exposing secrets and dangers that could put the entire family at risk.
As the Klatts dig deeper, their attempts to protect Wanda could end up getting them into even more trouble. With the truth surrounding that fateful day still out of reach, the family must work out what really happened before time runs out.
The returning cast includes International Emmy Award nominee Heike Makatsch (Love Actually), German Comedy Award winner Axel Stein (The Vault), multiple award-winning actress Lea Drinda (The Gryphon), Leo Simon and Nikeata Thompson (Späti).
The Season 2 ensemble is further expanded by Sam Riley (Maleficent), Alexandra Maria Lara (Downfall), Harriet Herbig-Matten (Maxton Hall: The World Between Us), Gisa Flake (Berlin Station), David Schütter (Barbarians), Palina Rojinski (Welcome to Germany), Suzanne von Borsody (Run Lola Run), Kostja Ullmann (A Most Wanted Man), Devid Striesow (All Quiet on the Western Front), Frederic Balonier (Maxton Hall: The World Between Us), Sascha Geršak (Murder Mindfully), Torben Liebrecht (Altered Carbon), Aaron Maldonado-Morales (Sun and Concrete) and Anton Dreger (Two Sides of the Abyss).
