Artificial Eye have released the first trailer for Wuthering Heights, and it promises to be a very understated and perceptual take on Emily Brontë’s cherished novel.

Directed by Andrea Arnold (Fish Tank, Red Road), Wuthering Heights stars Kaya Scodelario (Moon), Nichola Burley (Donkey Punch), Oliver Milburn (The Descent) and newcomer James Howson.

A poor young English boy named Heathcliff (Howson) is taken in by the wealthy Earnshaw family where he develops an intense relationship with his young foster sister, Cathy (Scodelario).

Wuthering Heights premiered at the 68th Venice Film Festival to astonishing reviews, and will open in U.K. cinemas on November 11.
