Troll 2 is the sequel to the smash-hit Norwegian Netflix production of Troll. We join stars Sara Khorami and Kim Falck, and Writer/Director Roar Uthaug for a discussion on how it feels managing eyelines against a CG troll, to the importance of the film for Norway and Norwegian Folklore.

Director Roar Uthaug discusses the feeling of the success of the prior film and how it changed his outlook going into making a second one. He also goes into his key influences, mainly being classic kaiju movies, whilst also discussing his previous film Tomb Raider as important in his filmmaking journey. The conversation delves into how he incorporates the fairytale aspects, without the film losing tension, and the blending of alternate history that gets explored in Troll 2.

Kim Falck details his return to the franchise and how amazing it was to be part of Norways biggest international film export, whilst Sara Khorami discusses how welcoming it felt joining the established cast. Sara explains how standing in a fake shaking helicopter made her feel as though she was actually flying, and how the fellow cast members helped her to perform when standing across a swarm of drones in lieu of a mountain-sized troll. Kim Falck explores how he had no idea that a sequel would ever come about when making the previous film and the surreal feeling of the success.
