Transformers-4-Bumblebee-2014-Concept-CamaroOf the many blockbusters coming our way next summer, Michael Bay’s return to the fold for Transformers 4 is sure to be one of the biggest and best.

Few directors do the blockbuster quite like Bay, and you can’t help but feel that he’d have to have something awesome in mind to return to the franchise, having originally hung up his hat on Dark of the Moon.

In recent weeks, Bay has been sharing a handful of images of some of the new vehicles we can look forward to, including a vintage revamp of Bumblee at the end of last month. And it looks like the old school version of Bumblebee won’t be the only look for the Autobot in the next instalment, with Bay now revealing on his site two new images of Bumblebee, of a 2014 Concept Camaro, which he describes as ‘the final jewel in the Transformers 4 crown’. Needless to say, it looks awesome.

Little is known about the specifics of the plot, but we do know that it takes place four years after the events of Chicago, with Bay very clear on the fact that this isn’t a reboot, but rather the first film in the next trilogy.

Reteaming with his Pain & Gain director, Mark Wahlberg was the first to board the impressive cast, and he’s since been joined by Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Kelsey Grammer, Stanley Tucci, Sophia Myles, Li Bingbing, and T.J. Miller.

Bay is directing from a script penned by Ehren Kruger (Transformers: Dark of the Moon), with Lorenzo di Bonaventura once more producing.

The as-yet-untitled Transformers 4 is set to hit the big screen on June 27th, 2014, and is guaranteed to be one of the biggest films of the year. (My prediction is already set at the global tally topping $1bn.)
