Paramount+ has released the official trailer for its brand-new UK original series ‘The Revenge Club’ ahead of the show’s exclusive debut in the UK and Ireland on 12th December.
Starring Martin Compston, Aimée-Ffion Edwards, and Meera Syal, the six-part series is produced by Gaumont and follows six lonely, hapless strangers whose lives have been upended by betrayal. Initially brought together by a divorce support group, the mismatched ensemble has little in common beyond their mutual emotional baggage—until they hatch an outrageously misguided plan: exact revenge on the people who broke their hearts.
What begins as a cathartic coping mechanism quickly escalates into full-blown pandemonium. In the trailer, viewers get a glimpse of the group’s hilariously amateur schemes, ranging from forged exam papers and tarot-based cons to a full-on rat invasion. But as their antics spiral, so does the danger: petty pranks give way to alarming accidents, and the line between righteous justice and reckless chaos grows increasingly blurry. With tensions rising and egos bruising, someone might just take things too far.
Compston (Line of Duty, Mayflies) and Edwards (Slow Horses, Peaky Blinders) lead the ensemble as Emily and Calum. They’re joined by BAFTA and Emmy Award winner Meera Syal (Mrs Sidhu Investigates, The Kumars at No. 42) as Rita, Sharon Rooney (Barbie, Jerk) as Rachel, Douglas Henshall (Shetland, Who Is Erin Carter?) as Steve, Chaneil Kular (Sex Education, Protection) as Tej, and Amit Shah (Mr Bates vs. The Post Office, Happy Valley) as Malcolm.
