Disney and Pixar have officially released the first teaser trailer for ‘Toy Story 5,’ teasing a fresh and futuristic new chapter in the beloved animated franchise.
The short but tantalising preview gives fans their first look at Lilypad, a high-tech, frog-shaped smart tablet voiced by Greta Lee (Past Lives, The Morning Show, TRON: Ares). Sleek, witty, and programmed to “optimise fun,” Lilypad’s arrival turns the world of toys upside down — and quickly proves to be the biggest challenge Buzz, Woody, Jessie, and the gang have ever faced.
Returning to voice their iconic roles, Tom Hanks once again rides out as the steadfast cowboy Woody, while Tim Allen blasts back into action as Buzz Lightyear. Joan Cusack reprises her role as the fearless Jessie, and Tony Hale is back as the loveably confused Forky. Joining the playroom mayhem this time is Conan O’Brien, lending his voice to Smarty Pants, a toilet training tech toy with more attitude than sense.
