It’s hard to believe (or maybe not, given Pixar’s productivity) that when the first Toy Story was released 15 years back, not only would the team go on to produce a third film which would make almost $50m more (and still counting) at the box office than that of the first film’s total of $361m, but that it would also receive more acclaim than both the previous two entries in the series (surely a first for any trilogy?)

This announcement is great news for a film, which in my opinion, is thoroughly deserving of this record and further proof that there is a studio out there who make it their duty to constantly deliver product that not only meets audience’s expectation, but manages to truly transcend what has come before.
