Ascertaining talks lead to an official deal, Collette will star opposite Jennifer Aniston (Wanderlust) in the comedy-drama about two friends, one with breast cancer and other with a baby on the way, who struggle to stay friends in light of their respective difficulties.

Miss You Already is set to be directed by Paul Andrew Williams (London to Brighton). Williams co-wrote the script with friend and fellow filmmaker Morwenna Banks. Filming is due to begin this autumn in and around London.

Entertainment One snapped up the U.K, Australian and Canadian distribution rights at the European Film Market in Berlin earlier this year. The film, assuming there are no production issues, will likely be released in the latter half of 2013.

Collette will next be seen in Jesus Henry Christ, while Aniston is rumoured to be involved in Daniel Schechter’s Jackie Brown prequel Switch.
