Tom Holland has joined Matt Damon on the casting sheet for Christopher Nolan’s next top-secret project at Universal.

Matt Damon, who starred mostly recently in Oppenheimer, was recently reportedly to be in negotiations to reunite with the filmmaker.

Nolan will pen the story and will produce with Emma Thomas under their Syncopy banner.

Sources tell Variety that Universal plans an IMAX release for the title on July 17, 2026. Plot details remain under wraps. The film is expected to shoot in early 2025.

Even though this will be the first time Holland has teamed up with the ‘Oppenheimer’ filmmaker, this will be the third time that Damon and Nolan have worked together. Damon previously appeared in 2014’s ‘Interstellar’ before ‘Oppenheimer.’ Nolan has a talent for collaborating with the same actors on multiple projects, and Damon now joins the ranks of Christian Bale and Murphy as actors who have worked with Nolan on at least three occasions.
