As summer blockbuster season is upon us, Tom Cruise has taken to the glamourous London city centre to urge moviegoers back into cinemas.

After a visit to Cineworld Leicester Square, in a post to his 9.9m followers on Instagram, Cruise – in what some class as a selfless act – didn’t ask fans to line up for their cinema seats of his next movie, Mission: Impossible –  Dead Reckoning Part 1. No, he took it upon himself to promote the likes of ‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ as well as Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’ and Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie.’

“Congratulations, Harrison Ford, on 40 years of Indiana Jones and creating one of the most iconic characters in cinema history. You have given us countless hours of joy.

I love a double feature, and it doesn’t get more explosive (or more pink) than one with Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and Greta Gerwig’s Barbie.”
