We’re nearing the end of our time in Toronto, and the film festival has been an embarrassment of cinematic riches. Yesterday evening we were on the red carpet for the new movie from filmmaker Deniz Gamze Ergüven, Kings. Her debut, 2015’s Mustang which was co-written with Alice Winocour, showed an enormous amount of promise and Toronto were determined to get an early look at her new film.

She was on the red carpet with her lead actor, Halle Berry, and the cast of the film and Stefan Pape and Dave Sztypuljak were there to meet them.

The film stars Daniel Craig, Halle Berry, Issac Ryan Brown and Serenity Reign Brown. It tells the story of a foster family in South Central a few weeks before the city erupts in violence following the verdict of the Rodney King trial in 1992.
