There’s less than a week to go until Gotham makes its debut on Fox in America and the series will follow shortly after on Channel 5 here in the UK. Three new TV spots have now been released, and they put the focus on Detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) as he arrives in the city and soon meets the younger versions of some of Batman’s greatest foes, including The Penguin, The Riddler and Poison Ivy.
Gotham is an origin story of the great DC Comics super villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. The series follows one cop’s rise through a dangerously corrupt city teetering on the edge of evil and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time.
Batman apparently won’t be making an appearance until Gotham ends, but we will spend some time with a young Bruce Wayne as he sets out on the path to becoming the city’s Caped Crusader. Other names which have recently been confirmed to appear are Hugo Strange, The Joker and Mr. Freeze.
The cast of the series also includes Ben McKenzie, Sean Pertwee, Robin Lord Taylor, Zabryna Guevara, Erin Richards, Donal Logue, Jada Pinkett Smith, David Mazouz and Camren Bicondova.
