Entertainment Film Distributors has unveiled the new trailer for ‘The Uprising,’ the upcoming historical epic from acclaimed director Paul Greengrass. Starring Andrew Garfield in the lead role, the film tells the story of one of England’s most legendary rebellions as ordinary people rise against the brutal rule of King Richard II.
Andrew Garfield stars as the iconic leader of a fierce rebellion against the tyranny of King Richard II. As war spreads across England, he unites an army of ordinary people to challenge the King’s overwhelming forces in a desperate struggle for justice and survival.
Joining Garfield is an ensemble cast that includes Jamie Bell, Stephen Dillane, Tom Hollander, Cosmo Jarvis, Thomasin McKenzie, Jonny Lee Miller, Woody Norman and Katherine Waterston.
‘The Uprising’ arrives in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on 9 October 2026.
