Netflix has premiered the full trailer for its upcoming animated feature ‘The Twits,’ a delightfully grotesque adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic tale of mischief and mayhem. The film is set to release exclusively on the streaming platform on October 17th, promising a riotous mix of humour, heart, and hilariously nasty antics.
In ‘The Twits,’ audiences will meet Mr. and Mrs. Twit, the meanest, smelliest, and nastiest couple in the world — who also happen to run Twitlandia, the most disgusting and dangerous amusement park ever built. But when this vile duo somehow rises to power in their town, it’s up to two brave children and a family of magical Muggle-Wumps to outsmart the Twits at their own game and save their city from total chaos.
The film boasts a star-studded voice cast including Johnny Vegas, Margo Martindale, Emilia Clarke, Natalie Portman, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Ryan Lopez, Timothy Simons, Nicole Byer, Jason Mantzoukas, Alan Tudyk, Mark Proksch, Rebecca Wisocky, and Charlie Berens.
Directed by Katie Shanahan and Todd Demong, this vibrant and chaotic adaptation captures Dahl’s signature blend of dark humour and moral mischief. The trailer teases a world bursting with colourful animation, witty wordplay, and slapstick comedy — all underscored by a timeless message about standing up to bullies and finding cleverness in kindness.
