Only two days after its showing at this year’s Toronto Film Festival, Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water obtains a red band trailer – unless we’re missing something, we don’t understand why it’s been classified red band except for a couple of f words and a full frontal view of the fish man.

The trailer expands the footage we have already seen from its debut trailer, mainly focusing on an irate Michael Shannon as Colonel Strickland, proving that it’s man that is indeed the monster and not this odd fish man he is desperately trying to find after Sally Hawkins Elisa strike’s up a romantic relationship.

The romantic fantasy is directed and written by del Toro and has a cast that includes Hawkins, Shannon, Octavia Spencer, Richard Jenkins, Doug Jones and Michael Sthulbarg.
