Hyperbole aside the fact that this is a deleted scene from Gareth Evans’ much anticipated follow up to The Raid gives a good indication of the joys coming our way in a few short weeks.
The film had its premiere at Sundance a few months ago to an overwhelmingly positive response, with some calling it the greatest action film ever made – there’s that hyperbole… It’s wonderful to be present at the birth of a genuinely exciting talent and Evans’ work on these films is evidence that he is undoubtedly one to watch.
Here’s the full scene, which has a number of beautifully framed shots and is a masterclass in tension and action cinema. Read our review if you’re not already bursting with anticipation. Mark down the 11th of April as a date to visit the cinema.
