The first trailer has been released for co-writer/director Jonathan Levine’s upcoming Christmas comedy, The Night Before. The movie reunites the filmmaker with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen after they teamed up for 50/50, with Anthony Mackie joining them.
In The Night Before, Ethan, Isaac and Chris have been friends since childhood, and for a decade, their yearly Christmas Eve reunion has been an annual night of debauchery and hilarity. Now that they’re entering adulthood, the tradition is coming to an end, and to make it as memorable as possible, they set out to find the Nutcracka Ball – the Holy Grail of Christmas parties. Lizzy Caplan, Michael Shannon, and Mindy Kaling also star in the movie.
It looks like a lot of fun, though one of the funniest moments might just be the title card which references the troubled release of controversial comedy The Interview. That aside though, and it looks like these guys have great chemistry, making this a must-watch.
The Night Before is set to be released on November 25th in the US and soon after in the UK.
