Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London was the place to be today, as
the UK Premiere of The Magic Faraway Tree brought one of the most eagerly
anticipated family films of the year to the big screen.
Based on Enid Blyton’s beloved classic, the film stars Claire Foy and Andrew Garfield as Polly and Tim Thompson, alongside Rebecca Ferguson, Nicola Coughlan, Jessica Gunning,
Nonso Anozie, Dustin Demri-Burns, Michael Palin, Mark Heap and Oliver Chris; it was written by Simon Farnaby and directed by Ben Gregor.
The Magic Faraway Tree will be released in UK and Ireland cinemas on
27th March 2026.

Plot:
When Polly and Tim Thompson relocate their family to the remote English
countryside, their three children — Beth, Joe and Fran — stumble upon a
towering, magical tree filled with extraordinary and eccentric inhabitants,
including Moonface, Silky, Dame Washalot and Saucepan Man. At the very top
of the tree lies a gateway to spectacular, ever-changing lands where
imagination reigns and adventure waits around every shimmering corner. Through
the joys and challenges of their fantastical adventures, the family learns to
reconnect and value each other for the first time in years.
