Entertainment Film Distributors has released a brand-new trailer for ‘The Magic Faraway Tree,’ offering audiences their first glimpse at the whimsical big-screen adaptation of Enid Blyton’s beloved children’s classic. The film is set to arrive in UK and Ireland cinemas on 27 March.
The story follows Polly (Claire Foy) and Tim (Andrew Garfield), a modern couple who relocate with their three children to the remote English countryside. What begins as an uneasy new chapter soon blossoms into wonder when the children discover a mysterious, magical tree filled with eccentric and unforgettable residents.
Among the tree’s treasured inhabitants are Moonface (Nonso Anozie), Silky (Nicola Coughlan), Dame Washalot (Jessica Gunning), Saucepan Man (Dustin Demri-Burns), and Dame Snap (Rebecca Ferguson). At the very top of the tree lies a gateway to spectacular, ever-changing lands where imagination reigns, and adventure waits around every shimmering corner.
Through these fantastical journeys, the family is drawn closer together, rediscovering connection, courage, and the quiet magic of belonging after years of drifting apart.
Directed by Ben Gregor (Black Ops, Brassic) and adapted by Simon Farnaby (Paddington 2, Wonka), The Magic Faraway Tree blends heartfelt family storytelling with richly imaginative world-building.
