The Lucky One hits UK cinemas May 2nd and our friend James Kleinmann got to chat with the star of the movie, Zac Efron while he was here in the London for the UK junket. During the interview, James asks Zac if this is his most challenging role or rewarding role to date, how the scenes in the movie are extremely difficult to watch on screen and what it was like to shoot a movie simulating a war-zone. We also find out if Zac would like to do a war movie rather than a romantic comedy with war elements.

We also find out how they simulated an IED on set to create the effects of a road-side explosion. The interview is fabulous and gives us a real insight in to the movie-making process. Efron talks about meeting real-life marines and how he got into the character and what it was like to raid a house!

More close to home, we find out how Zac has worked out his work ethic which others have referred to as being ‘great’. In the interview we find out where those values come from and how he goes about his work.

The Lucky One is released in the UK 2nd May, is directed by Scott Hicks and also stars Blythe Danner, Taylor Schilling, Jay R. Ferguson, Riley Thomas Stewart, Jillian Batherson.

A Marine travels to North Carolina after serving three tours in Iraq and searches for the unknown woman he believes was his good luck charm during the war.
