Apple Original Films has dropped the second trailer for ‘The Lost Bus,’ a pulse-pounding survival thriller from Academy Award-nominated director Paul Greengrass (Captain Phillips, United 93). Inspired by harrowing real events, the film thrusts audiences into the heart of one of America’s deadliest wildfires.

At the centre of the story is a wayward school bus driver, played by Academy Award winner Matthew McConaughey, and a fearless, devoted teacher, portrayed by Emmy, SAG, and Golden Globe Award winner America Ferrera. Together, they must fight against impossible odds to shepherd 22 children through a blazing inferno that threatens to consume everything in its path.

The new trailer teases Greengrass’ signature, nerve-shredding realism: roaring flames, claustrophobic tension inside the bus, and the desperate choices ordinary people are forced to make in extraordinary circumstances. Early reactions from critics hail The Lost Bus as “a white-knuckle ride” and “one of Greengrass’ most visceral and emotional works to date.”

‘The Lost Bus’ premieres globally on Apple TV+ on Friday, October 3, 2025, promising a cinematic experience of courage, sacrifice, and survival that will leave audiences breathless.
