2011 movie The Smurfs was such a mega-hit that a sequel was fast-tracked by Sony and on Wednesday 31st July, the second installment will be hitting big screens across the UK. At the Summer of Sony in Cancun earlier this year, we got to catch up with many of the cast and filmmakers of the project including Neil Patrick Harris, Hank Azaria, Producer Jordan Kerner and Director Raja Gosnell. We also get to hear from Katy Perry who plays Smurfette at the press conference so keep your eyes peeled for that on going live on Tuesday next week.

Today and first up we hear from Director Raja Gosnell who talks about how this second movie has advanced from the first, what some of the challenges on completing the second film were and how the characters have changed. We find out what it was like shooing with drone cameras around Notre Dame, getting permission to shoot in this fashion and when we can expect The Smurfs 3.

Keep your eyes open for interviews with Neil, Hank and Producer Jordan Kerner coming up in the next few days.
