Netflix has unveiled the teaser trailer and premiere date for ‘The Hawk,’ the upcoming sports comedy series starring Will Ferrell as washed-up golf legend Lonnie Hawkins. The 10-episode series will premiere on Netflix on Thursday, 16th July.

In ‘The Hawk,’ Ferrell stars as Lonnie Hawkins, once the number one golfer in the world back in 2004, now desperately trying to claw his way back to glory as his career fades into the rough. While his body tells him it’s time to retire, Lonnie remains convinced he is only one swing away from completing golf’s elusive Grand Slam.

Standing in his way are the people closest to him, including his ex-wife and his son Lance, the sport’s rising golden boy, who believe Lonnie’s championship days are firmly buried beneath the bunker sand. But Lonnie refuses to fade quietly, setting up a comeback story packed with chaos, comedy, and emotional family rivalries.

The series stars Molly Shannon, Jimmy Tatro, Fortune Feimster, Luke Wilson, Chris Parnell, Katelyn Tarver, and David Hornsby.

Behind the scenes, the series boasts a heavyweight comedy lineup. Ferrell executive produces alongside Jessica Elbaum and Alix Taylor for Gloria Sanchez Productions, while Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman, and Nena Rodrigue executive produce for T-Street. Chris Henchy, Harper Steele, David Gordon Green, and Andrew Guest also serve as executive producers.
