We present the full press conference for Netflix’s new series The Crown from Stephen Daldry and Peter Morgan.

The series stars Claire Foy, Matt Smith, Vanessa Kirby, Jared Harris, Dame Eileen Atkins & Victoria Hamilton. Peter Morgan’s previous work on The Queen and the Michael Sheen Tony Blair films stands him in fine stead for this tale, while Stephen Daldry is best known for Billy Elliot and The Hours, as well as a prominent career directing on the stage.

During the press conference they talk about what it was like when they first wore the costumes and specifically the crowns, how they feel about the Royal Family watching the show, comment on how people have compared The Crown to Downton Abbey and talk up how they used the huge budget that has come with the show to create  spectacular set pieces.
