Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for ‘The Bride’, Maggie Gyllenhaal’s audacious follow-up to her Academy Award-nominated debut ‘The Lost Daughter.’ Led by Academy Award nominee Jessie Buckley and Academy Award winner Christian Bale.
Set against the soot-stained glamour of 1930s Chicago, ‘The Bride’ follows a lonely Frankenstein (Bale) who seeks out groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious (five-time Oscar nominee Annette Bening) with a singular request: create him a companion. Their experiment resurrects a murdered young woman and, in a flash of electricity and intent, The Bride (Buckley) is born.
Alongside Buckley and Bale, the film stars Peter Sarsgaard, with Annette Bening, Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal, and Oscar winner Penélope Cruz rounding out a formidable ensemble.
