SpiderMan

As the release of Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 draws ever closer, promotion for the movie has really started kicking into high gear. Following the release of seven new stills from the sequel yesterday (which you can check out by clicking here), Sony Pictures have now released two new posters through Digital Spy.

As you can see, they feature a fully suited up Andrew Garfield (The Social Network) as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained) as the villainous Max Dillon/Electro. Director Marc Webb admitted to turning to the comic books for inspiration when it came to how Spidey should move in the first movie, and it’s clear that he’s done the same again here as the poster features a pose which could have been torn straight from the pages of many a comic.

The shot of Electro on the other hand simply gives us a closer look at how he will first appear in the movie, although the tagline is yet another hint that the third instalment of the franchise could see the debut of The Sinister Six before they’re spun-off into their own movie.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to be released in the UK on 18th April and in the US on May 2nd.
