Thanks-For-Sharing-PosterAlong with Joss Whedon’s Much Ado About Nothing and Derek Cianfrance’s The Place Beyond the Pines, Stuart Blumberg’s Thanks for Sharing was far and away my joint-favourite film that I saw at TIFF last year.

Its arrival in cinemas has been a long time coming, and I really cannot wait for my second viewing – you can read our five-star review here to see why.

The fantastic first trailer finally launched at the end of last month. And now the film’s first poster has been released over at EW, giving us a look at its leading cast.

From Academy Award®-nominated screenwriter and first-time director Stuart Blumberg (THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT), THANKS FOR SHARING is a sharply comic and deeply moving look at a new kind of modern family, as a group of friends in recovery learns to face life together with heart, humor and humility.

Mark Ruffalo and Josh Gad are nothing short of brilliant leading the film, starring alongside one of the best casts in recent memory, led by Tim Robbins, Gwyneth Paltrow, Alecia ‘Pink’ Moore, Patrick Fugit, Joely Richardson, and Isiah Whitlock, Jr.

Blumberg, the Oscar-nominated writer behind The Kids Are All Right, is making his feature directorial debut, co-writing the script with Matt Winston, with Edward Norton executive producing.

Thanks for Sharing is set to be released in the UK on 13th September, with its US release date falling a week later on September 20th. Here’s the first poster, and be sure to go back and watch the first trailer if you haven’t already (and even if you have). This is one of the best movies you’ll see this year. And quite possibly ever.
