The much anticipated remake of Dario Argento’s 1977 horror classic Suspiria arrives in London for its Premiere. Directed by Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name, A Bigger Splash) the Italian-American horror film stars Fifty Shades’ Dakota Johnson, Tilda Swinton, Mia Goth, Jessica Harper and Chloe Grace Mortez.

The remake also stars Doris Hick, Malgorzata Bela, Angela Winkler, Elena Fokina and Alek Wek.

Dakota Johnson talked about the challenges of such an all-encompassing role, Swinton spoke again about this being a cover version, just as Argento’s was, of the Thomas De Quincy text. Mia Goth told us about making a tape of herself to audition for the role.

Suspiria will be released on the 2nd of November in the US, and on the 16th of November in the UK.

PLOT:

Set in Berlin 1977, the plot follows a young American dancer who enrolls at a prestigious dance academy plagued by unusual occurrences. A darkness swirls at the center of a world-renowned dance company, one that will engulf the artistic director, an ambitious young dancer, and a grieving psychotherapist. Some will succumb to the nightmare. Others will finally wake up.
