Another UK premiere at this year’s Glasgow Film Festival is Aneil Karia’s, Surge. We catch up with writer and director, Aneil, to discuss his intriguing and thought-provoking feature debut.
The film follows airport security worker, Joseph, played by the insanely talented Ben Whishaw, who appears to lead a fairly unremarkable and uneventful existence. But a series of events unfold to de-rail this life in a jarring and emotional way.
You are immersed in his world by such a wonderful performance from Ben Whishaw and makes Aneil Karia one to watch out for in the future.

Surge will be having its UK premiere at the Glasgow Film Festival on Friday 5th March and will be releasing in UK cinemas and on digital platforms from 28th May.
